Use Cases & Benefits
- Provides a cross-platform window creation and event handling library written in Rust.
- Offers a low-level, platform-agnostic foundation for window management supporting multiple OSes and input events.
- Use for building native GUI applications in Rust that require consistent window and input event handling across platforms.
- Use for developing games or graphical applications needing fine-grained control over window events and input devices.
- Use for integrating with platform-specific graphics libraries by managing windows and events in a Rust environment.

Winit is a window creation and management library. It can create windows and lets you handle events (for example: the window being resized, a key being pressed, a mouse movement, etc.) produced by the window.
Winit is designed to be a low-level brick in a hierarchy of libraries. Consequently, in order to show something on the window you need to use the platform-specific getters provided by winit, or another library.
