    Use Cases & Benefits

    • Implements scalable training, finetuning, and evaluation pipelines for diffusion-based language models using Python.
    • Unifies diffusion language model workflows with support for advanced distributed training and open-weight model recipes.
    • Use for developing and experimenting with state-of-the-art diffusion language models like LLaDA and Dream.
    • Use for converting autoregressive or BERT models into diffusion models for novel NLP applications.
    • Use for educational purposes to learn and extend diffusion language modeling techniques including edit operations.

    From the README

    Simple Diffusion Language Modeling

[2025/12] 🤗Tiny-A2D: We released a collection of SOTA small (0.5B/0.6B) diffusion models adapted from AR models, with fully open recipes for converting ANY AR model (e.g., Qwen, LLaMA, and GPT-2) into a diffusion model. See examples/a2d for training / inference / evaluation instructions.

[2025/11] 🤗BERT-Chat: We released a collection of BERTs finetuned to chat with diffusion, with open recipes for turning ANY BERT encoder (e.g., BERT, RoBERTa, ModernBERT) into a diffusion model. See examples/bert for training / inference / evaluation instructions.
