    Installation

    Open a terminal and run:

    $ pip install streamlit
    $ streamlit hello
    

    If this opens our sweet Streamlit Hello app in your browser, you're all set! If not, head over to our docs for specific installs.

    A little example

    Create a new file named streamlit_app.py in your project directory with the following code:

    import streamlit as st
    x = st.slider("Select a value")
    st.write(x, "squared is", x * x)
    

    Now run it to open the app!

    $ streamlit run streamlit_app.py
